Iqra Raza is a PhD candidate in the Department of English at University of Houston. Born in Bihar and raised in Delhi, she obtained a Bachelor's and a Master's in English literature from the University of Delhi, before moving to the United States. Her dissertation project interrogates the limits and exclusions of the human rights framework, and the discourses through which the 'human' becomes legible. She is also a poet and translator.
